Didn’t say any of that. I was all in on Cam, hence my picture on here.

If one of you could detail one facet of the game that Cam was better at than Josh Allen, I’m all ears. Just one.

I’ll wait.

Running and power. Cam was bigger stronger and faster.

Cam was the prototype. He was what a long line of mobile QBs evolved into, from Fran Tarkenton to Cunningham to Vick to Cam and then to Josh and Lamar. Those two guys are the pinnacle of the mobile QB position now. Smart, fast, big and they've got not just laser cannons for arms, but have incredible processing ability matched with leadership skills.

What do Josh and Lamar have that's better than Cam's? They can work the team aspect better on the field, whereas Cam had it in his nature (and nurture) to put the entire game on his shoulders and will it to happen.

Your High as a kite.

They are the same size,  Cam was marginally faster but not as agile (Allen had a better 3 cone and short shuttle)

Also Allen had 30 bench reps not seeing that.

Allen is far better than Cam ever was.... heck JA basically averages Cams MVP year EVERY year.

I never saw Cam do anything like what I saw Josh Allen do last night, the closest anyone here will have is his game winning drive agaist a crappy Giants team...

Allen 100% willed the Bills to victory last night from a 15 point deficit with 7 to go.

Oh, I agree. Josh and Lamar are both the next evolutionary step in QBs from the line of players like Cam. They have that something extra. And honestly, they are still prototypes of what is yet to come. This game evolves.

We will see Allen IMO is getting close to what a pinnacle Dual Threat QB can be, three scores in seven minutes and he made it look pitifuly easy, I also don't see them as the same "prototype" Lamar is Vick 2.0 Allen is Newton 2.0

    • He threw with him the last two offseasons so he knew what he was signing up for lol
    • The meat and potatoes: Out of 30 qualifying QBs in Week 1, Young ranked: Dead last in EPA (-0.60) Dead last in success rate (20%) Dead last in Y/A at 3.6 Dead last in passer rating at 27.5 How are you averaging just 3.6 Y/A on unpressured dropbacks in the first half of a game? Thinking back to that halftime deficit, I’m reminded of this stat: The Panthers led at halftime in three of Young’s 12 starts last year. They are now 0 for 1 this year. In his 29 career starts, the Panthers have led at halftime in 5 of 29 (17%). Since 2000, there have been 37 QBs to start at least 25 games in their first two years in the NFL. Young is the ONLY QB to lead at halftime in fewer than six of his starts. Young is the ONLY QB to lead at halftime in fewer than 20% of his starts. So many people were backing Young based on the super small sample at the end of the year when they thought he played better, and he did play moderately better. But even in those games, he delivered average stats against the NFL’s easiest schedule of pass defenses to close the year, with every opponent ranking 20th or worse. There’s never been a QB who rebounded from performance like Young delivered in his first couple of years to go on to become a franchise quarterback. Some stay around as a journeyman, but they don’t lead teams. The Panthers put all their eggs in the Young basket this offseason. The Panthers were the darlings to win the NFC South by many. Yes, it’s only one game, and there certainly are opportunities to improve.   The opportunity is to start someone else at QB.   I don’t want to see anymore debate in whether Bryce is the worst QB ever.  Especially not the worst #1 overall pick ever.  What a fuging bust.
