I dont want to see D Will go...honestly I would rather see "turf toe" leave.

You do realize that DWill has missed more games the past two seasons that Stewart.......of course you don't.

That would require some research and effort....not just talking out of your ass.

People saying Deangelo wouldn't fetch better than a third are outta their fuging minds. No way this FO lets him go for an insulting ridiculous offer like that. RB's start to fade after 7 or 8 years starting in the league, that's where the 30 age comes from. Deangelo has started for technically 3, but really 2 and a half years. I don't think he's fading any time soon. And the belief that he just gave up last season and milked an injury? The most ridiculous slander I've heard about someone that I can't personally refute in all my life. If anything, Fox IR'd him to save his "tread". How quickly some people turn on one of the best players, not to mention best people, in franchise history is appalling. Deangelo is not past his prime, he's still an elite top 5 RB in this league.

rob the broncos of their future because fox is a dumbass? I'm all for it.

Cracka, I am bit hurt that none of my radical comments and predictions have made your list. Let me try again: As long as Steve Smith is on the roster, the Panthers will choose DL with their first overall pick, probably a Defensive END. (If Smith leaves or goes Carson Palmer on us and AJ Green is on the board, we pick him).

OK, these aren't too radical, but keep your eye on me. I am sure to say some things that you will want everyone to remember.

DE is not our need on defense. We need to look at DT's to stop the run which has been our weak spot for 2-3 seasons now. WE also need to look for a replacement CB since we willno resign Richard Marshall during the offseason.

Aa far as offense Stick with the players we have but look for a replacement or "true" starting RG to solidify our offenseive line. We are young at all positions and with the right coaches this could be a strength for years to come if the players listen and learn.

If you want to refer to mileage, one of the concerns with DW coming out of Memphis was that he was heavily used there. Took a beating, some said. I hear you and you make sense, but this is about money too. With Goodson's emergence last season and Sutton hitting his prime, the loss would not be felt as much. The fact that he has not finished a season in the last 2 (even thought he had 1100 yards in 2009) is also concerning. I take the $ I save by signing and trading DW and use it on another position. I then take the draft pick and consider drafting a RB in the mid rounds. You still have 2 to 4 pretty good RBs and upgraded a need somewhere else.

DW is good, but it seems we have good results no matter who is back there. Sutton looked very good last year and in preseason, and he averaged almost 5.5 yards per carry in 2010 (admittedly only on 13 carries).

I never said it was our need. I said it is who we will draft if we have Smith. I know there is a hole at DT. Very aware. I am also aware that there are very few franchise 4-3 DEs in every draft- this one has 1, maybe 2. Teams that run 4-3 defenses put a higher premium on DE than DT.

Besides, the draft is deep at DT. If we trade down and pick up a second rounder and we feel good about SS playing for us next year, we draft Bowers or Quinn. DT in the second or third rounds (maybe second and third rounds).

You have to look at the availability of talent and the rarity of talent. Luck was a no brainer. If we had Peyton Manning, we would have drafted Luck. Too valuable to the future of the franchise to pass up.

If the Panthers don't take DE, it is because the feel that they will re-sign CJ, Hardy will step up and be able to defend the run in 2011, and possibly E. Brown is ready. I think CJ will be fine, but a 4 stud rotation of DEs would make us awesome and deep at the defense's most important postition. Look at every effective 4-3 in the NFL and they have several DEs who can play at a very high level.

I personally think Hardy will start next year. I think we could trade down with Buffalo and we will take AJ Green and trade SS. Why not bring in a vet WR, you ask? There are no true #1 WRs in FA and most all have baggage (age, cost, injuries or a combo of all 3).

If we take DT, I want Dareus.

You bring up a good point about RG. I don't think we need one. Schwartz played RT as a rookie and went to camp as a RT. He was to compete with Bernadeau at RG, but Otah never healed and Scwhartz moved out there. When Bernadeau began sucking halfway through the season, Schwartz moved inside to RG. Defenses targeted him and abused him at first. But he grew. BY the end of the season, not many people noticed, but he had made a nice adjustment.

In addition, I have a feeling Rivera will get something out of Duke Robinson. I would still draft a G/C to backup Kalil and compete at RG, but I have not heard RG mentioned by Rivera or Hurney. What was your impression of Schwartz at the end of the year? I have not heard many opinions.

You know what you’re right. Our running game did get better towards the last 6-7 games of the season. And I think He could fit that role. Hell we could even move Otah to RG and Schwartz to RT if need be. But that would make more sense under Fox's old system. Not sure how that would work under the new staff. So looking at that, I think we could be solid on the O-line. And I do agree about a backup C/G for Kalil. One of the main reasons the tagged him is due to the fact we have no replacement on the roster for him.

I agree with the trade of smith for say a 3rd round pick I agree with trading our #1 pick for a lower 1st rounder and maybe a 2nd if we can pull that off. No sure about the AJ being drafted. We have a stable full of young WR's that could turn out to be some big play makers. And if Edwards can show some more maturity, he could turn out to be our next SS. But I feel it may take some time to do this.

Hardy should start next year. I’m all for that. I see him and CJ as our starting bookends. Put Hardy at RDE and CJ at LDE. With CJ's size and strength, he break out of the double teams he will face with the RT and TE. While Hardy has Size and Strength, he’s more of a speed rusher. Could be a great Dou with those two. From there have Eric Norwood and Brown rotate in. I still feel we have what we need at DE. But it also starts with Carolina resigning CJ.

Duke Robinson, I was hoping to see him play this season. Hopefully he’ll be healthy and show us something.
