Yea, I started a thread about us needing to draft him on here in November of 2023, or 18 months before he'd even have been draft eligible, lol, and I'm sure I probably brought him up in other threads at some point before then too.

Yea, and that's my point, I know I should feel like an unhappy camper right now, but damned if I just can't find those feelings because of how well he's playing.  It's more than holding me over right now, I'm still just so fuging happy that he's a Panther that the rest is just white noise.

Well, that's good. You can find happiness. There have been several UGA guys on the team throughout the years, including one now, but the only one that will probably come close to T-Mac in regards to impact is Kasay. I really do believe in him. Here is just more evidence. Screenshot_20250915_123249_PrizePicks.thumb.jpg.9c8ca2a75cae3b28613c16d34eaf26d4.jpg

He helped me win $180 yesterday. So I'm not just talking. I could've easily chosen Nabers, but I went with my guy.

Yea, the difference though is that Georgia is a football powerhouse with tons of great players over the years, Arizona, is, well, not.  lol

Plus, like you said, we've had a bunch of them over the years.

T-Mac is the best offensive player in Arizona's history (and a real argument to be made for overall best player, it would be a battle between him and a couple defensive guys).  He also was the first Wildcat to ever be drafted by the Panthers (the last team to have never taken one of us).  And as far as I'm aware, in the 21 years since I first went out there for school, Antoine Cason is the only other Wildcat we've had on the roster (and yea, I know he didn't work out for us, but dude was an All American and Thorpe winner for Arizona while I was there in school as we were freshman the same year, so yea, I was a big fan of his).

His comments after the game said it looked like regular defense.

Gotcha thanks for the info.  I thought I remember the announcers mentioning that he was getting doubled at times, but of course its a bit hard to see downfield during the broadcast so I'm not sure how accurate that is.

    • The successful teams in the NFL right now have one thing in common: Patience. Not just with their QB, but with every facet of the program. There are going to be successes and failures, but no one panics and makes reactive decisions. Look at the Eagles, the Bills, the Ravens, the Packers, and hell, even the (newly successful) Lions. All of them showed patience with their QB's growth, let their coaches do their jobs, have drafted well, developed their own players, and plugged holes in their roster and organization with players and situations that made sense. That's what we need. And if that isn't what we have now, we need to make moves to get it there. If that means they need to blow it up to start over, then blow it up and start it over the right way. If that means to change their approach from top to bottom, change it now. But the blueprint of success is out there in the league, teams just think they know better, or they don't have the discipline to follow through.
    • X was drafted too early, needs refinement and is playing out of position. We knew this. What's the issue? Personally, I think he will be fine. Just needs more time.
    • Rozeboom is a JAG. Shaq was most definitely not a JAG.
