Two really good backs is a problem we haven’t had in a long time… next double trouble?

The only reason I say no, is our current backfield has 2 guys that need every touch to get in a rhythm.  Dwill and Stew could come in any time and give you good yards.  Chubba and Ricco have to keep grinding.

That would also be comparing Chubba to Dwill or Stew and that ain't even close. He's good but not that good.

A guy signed out of free agency just showed Chubba up

Carries should be 20/10 at best

Agreed, he’s not as fast as Dwill or as powerful as Jstew.  He’s Chubba.  That’s it.

I kinda see it, but Foster was fast.  He could break away and not be caught.

Again not trying to trash Chuba but it makes you wonder if he just has taken advantage of a good run OL. Foreman was the superior back in 2022 and there really hasn’t been any competition the last two years. Now there is and the competition looks better… again.

I don’t think so.  Chuba is a good back with patience and vision.  He’s not gonna break a 50 yard TD but he will 6,7,8 yard run you to death.

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
