All aboard the Patrick Peterson orchestra-train?!?!?

1 thing I've noticed with PP7 in highlight videos is.. I never see a big hit but sound tackles that work on the ball. I'm having some difficulty finding a video where I see him get a big hit. He plays with a lot of finesse, THIS is the guy you can leave 10 yards back and expect to still make a play.

I realize some of you will point out that they're /highlight/ videos, but a big hit is a highlight and that's where you expect to find those kinds of hits.

Peterson or Green is BPA. Fairley and Cam are both desperation reaches. Dline is deep and talented this year. I don't see that same depth elsewhere. Way i see it.

QB's- without luck is there really a top QB? Gabbert, Cam, Locker and Capernick (whatever)

LB's, Safeties, RB, OL,and TE are all WEAK.

Luckily we don't need those positions so much. DT and CB are our holes and they can be filled. Also with SMith aging and losing a step a new number 1 WR is a need. I have heard Green compared to Moss and Megatron. Come the f on if you dont want one of those guys on your team.

Rivera said something to the effect of not caring about big hits, but wrapping up and bringing the ball carrier down.

Yeah that's what I like about him. He's making plays without having to lay a hard hit. Plus he's a type of player that Rivera emphasizes. Plus with all the fines going around in the NFL for hitting guys.. Would be nice to have a player who could play like this and not get called for PI or other penalties. To me, the lack of big hits shows that he understands what making a play is and that it doesn't have to be flashy. AJ Green or PP7, either way we're improving our team with superior talent.

Peterson is being projected by many to be a safety in the NFL; they say he's not agile enough to play CB at the NFL level. Sorry, but you don't take a CB 1st overall unless he's got Darrelle Revis potential. Peterson isn't even a consensus CB.

My top-rated CB is Brandon Harris and has been for a while now. He'll be the next Revis in 2-3 years time; mark my words on that.

who are the many? i see that mayock said it. i also see various others who say he is quite agile and demonstrates great fluidity w/his hips and smooth backpedaling. also, his special teams contributions, as mentioned above, seem to reinforce the idea that he's not a stiff. can't ever recall a successful return man who was

I haven't seen anyone suggest him moving to safety.

He's too good at corner to move to safety even with his size.

I haven't seen that anywhere and just because a player could project somewhere else doesn't mean they are excluded from being the top player either in another category.

He's very big which is why people could project him at safety because you are automatically stiffer than smaller guys. But I haven't seen that as a serious knock on him.

I'm a little confused by your Brandon Harris remark. It sounds like you want to take Brandon Harris 1st overall.

If we have a lockout and the first pick again next year (quite possible) then knowing that this would happen by March 3 (before the draft) we can straight up take anyone we want regardless of position. DT, CB, WR, you name it. Since you get 2 for the price of one, the gamble on taking a CB/WR/DT wutev is lessened. All depends on the CBA.
