Why does Bryce get the blame?

Hence, "the usual suspects".

I get "entrenched" to a certain point, but football can be incredibly fluid. Things change a lot, and sometimes rather quickly.

"Personal" though? That I don't get so much. Bring a passionate fan is cool, but I'm not gonna change my feelings about somebody over a sports discussion.

Hell, I don't even hate most rival fans...except Cowboy fans.

(but I can't say that out loud) 😐

I have been attacked personally over my Bryce opinions, for years, and I am stubborn, but fair as I know how to be when he does something right.
Got called for being an evil bad person that hates because I said he was entitled. And that started because people were saying Shed  Sanders was entitled, while ignoring Bryce.

You and I argued that and it did not descend into personal insults but another person in there had to go there. And the thing about it was, the thread wanted to get Sanders in here to compete and I said I would pass. It is just that he was a 5th round pick and isn’t being handed anything that got me defending him

Sounds like there may have been a Time Life series or two in your household at some point.

Dude, I love those Time Life series. Honestly, I've got five different series... dating back to the early '70s. WWII, Civil War, The Old West, The Sciences and the Cooking ones (which is a masterpiece of culinary literature).

Good grief, people, what are y'all going on about?

I don't care about how you can it up---inconsistent flashes of oases of survivability and hopefulness within a desert of death by a thousand cuts and constant agitated emotions, Bryce just isn't what we want in the final estimation. And, If anyone does want him, hats off to you (because it fell off from a confluence of me shaking my head and laughing hysterically).

I’ve seen a few people mention the fact NO only had 10 points going into the 4th as some sort of victory by the defense.

I assume you’re box score watching?

The Saints had 4 real possessions going into the 4th quarter. One was the 11:22 minute TD drive and the other a 7:58 FG drive

According to nextgenstats there are normally 24 possessions in a game. There were 16 in Sundays game and that’s including a one play kneel down “possession” at the end of the first half and the final 1 play “possession” at the end of the game

For comparison, there were 11 possessions in last nights Seahawks Rams game in the 4th quarter alone

A bit off here. I watch every game and any time they make it out to vaguely the west coast, I’m there in person.

I guess you’re suggesting that the saints time of possession is indicative of the defensive lapse? Despite the points?

Yes, the saints’ drives dominated the time of possession. But much of that was questionable penalties extending drives and just frankly lucky contested plays. Receivers just hanging on right at the sticks. Juggled screen passes that result in a first. There was also Rozeboom just mishandling a gift fumble.

Also, no argument, the 4th quarter drives were rough. But again, it goes back to what could have been done differently. We tried lining up Jaycee one on one and Olave burned him.

Contrast that with today’s game. The players have to execute the plan.

    • He’s also 21 years old. I don’t know why fiz is so eager to label him a bust
    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
