Maycock suggests we take a QB

Not at the QB position IMO. He is great across the board. But I have seen him discuss the QB position the last several years and he isn't impressive to me.

If he has Locker over Cam at this point. He has little credibility IMO. Locker was awful at the Senior Bowl. He is average on tape.

If he was great at this he would likely be making a lot more money than he is working at the NFL Network.

He's been offers several NFL jobs, he turned them down.

Again he has been pretty bad with the QB position over the years.

I think he is really good across the board though. And it is hard to cover all the positions as well as he does. He should be respected. Andre Woodsen the #2 QB??? Dennis Dixon over Flacco (although I do believe this was before the combine that Flacco dis so well at. But he doesn't use workouts remember. Only tape)

Cam jumps a 10' 6 and Maycock immeadiately is like " A GUY FELL IN THE GAUNTLET!!!" Eisen scared to talk about Newton bc Maycock stares him down every time he does.

LOL this is hilarious.

Yeah, I'm getting the feeling that Mayock just plain doesn't like Cam Newton, and nothing is gonna change his mind.

Mayock (I have been typing Maycock. whoops) on Jimmy Clausen

The most interesting opinion of the day from Mayock was about where Clausen will land in the draft. He sees Clausen as a “top ten talent” that won’t get past San Francisco at pick No. 17.

Nailed it. But he got the Russell deal right. Let him tell me that again.

Steve Reed did something on it, I'll try to find it later.

I've seen that:

But if there is one bright spot for the Panthers it is that they would indeed get the No. 1 pick in the 2012 NFL draft if there is no football in 2011, a high-ranking league source has confirmed to Carolina Growl.

Unfortunately this doesn't make any sense given what I know about the CBA.

The current CBA specifically calls for a 2011 draft even if there is not a new CBA in place. It does not call for a 2012 draft and a 2012 will not happen unless there is a new CBA.

The details of the 2012 draft will be decided upon in negotiation and unless every owner has already agreed to leave it the same, it would be up for negotiation and agreement.

I don't think anyone is in a position to confirm anything about the 2012 draft which may not even exist
