2026 Senior Bowl

Seems like a loaded EDGE class. though I think we don't spend a premium pick there with Scourton/Princely showing production and potential.

Concepcion at 19 is intriguing and seen ARSB comps with his shiftiness, high IQ and YAC ability. He and TMac would be a nasty 1-2 combo at stretching a defense. Brenan Thompson could be that day 2 speedy/slot guy that could boost his draft stock in Mobile.

Sam Hecht could be a later selection for C depending on how we are planning to attack that position in FA and our own previous guys. Shelton from PSU is an interesting developmental tackle that if he can get locked into an NFL strength program and rock up, could be good down the road.

Speaking of PSU, Dani Dennis Sutton was a guy last year I was big on and was bummed he headed back to Happy Valley. I think he can be a helluva NFL player, and if he can show improvement in his pass rush moves, I wouldn't be mad at him in a trade-back situation.

Hecht has been very good so far in the practices. Also, huge news that GaTech's Rutledge is taking some reps at center. He would be a MASSIVE upgrade at interior IOL over Cade Mays, IMO. At OG for sure and potentially at center if he can adjust to that. Would love to see him targeted early, if possible.

I’ve heard enough.

He is a very Evero EDGE. Limited pass rush moves, very strong bull rush and very good against the run.

Likely would never have more than 4-5 sacks/season here but a great edge setter and run stopper.

The first two picks should be DT and OT. According to Daniel Jeremiahs top 50 this class is heavy on wr and O line, namely OT. I'm not sure if that helps us with edge rusher in round 1 as he turns around and has only 2 wrs taken in the top 20 with us taking 1 of them when he has 5 ranked in the top 20. He's all over the place with his mock draft so it's hard to take any rankings seriously at the moment.

    • Taking only players from the sheet that are realistically available in or after the listed round, I’d like… 1st: DT Caleb Banks (Styles not realistic) 2nd: LB Jacob Rodriguez 3rd: OT Best available from Bowry, Barber, and Casey 4th: CB Daylen Everette 5th: S Jalen Huskey 6th: RB Adam Randall 7th: IOL Best available from Lemieux, Dawkins, Leausa, and Brose   I know nothing about some of the players listed, but it seems like that would be the best way it could fall for now. I’m sure the list of who we meet will change a ton, and there will also be players we don’t meet with to keep quiet. I’d love to pick up Randall in the late rounds.
    • Not what I said. They know within the building why we aren't utilizing TEs more. If the rumors were true that we were seriously pursuing a couple of decent receiving TEs that strongly points toward a lack of quality receiving TEs currently on the roster. Does that mean we consider drafting one at 19? I don't know, but it wouldn't shock me and if we did there's only one guy it would be. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see TE drafting somewhere in the first three rounds.
    • Yeah, I don’t know. Tepper was behind the Bryce selection. Behind firings and hiring over his lack of development.  He doesn’t have to literally tell them their hands are tied for them to know this. It is in the air constantly. The Canales Bryce play calling was even portrayed by more than one person as Canales failing Bryce, instead of Bryce being responsible for his own performance (except when he does well, then it is all him). Now they have an extra coach in, to help the new OC get results from this QB.  The atmosphere is not welcoming to prototypical young QBs that have talent. You get Jake Plummer types or old vets. I think we are stuck.
