I don't think we take a ILB until the 2nd round. Our 1st round pick is shaping up to be an OLB, DT or S from the looks of it.

Id prefer that. I did see some CJ Allen and someone commented here that's "Hes a good player on a great team".... fug that crushed my idea for him cause that statement feels right and hes ranked right around 19. I feel Dan will sign at least one vet ILB even with no cap space. Hell Im in the camp of bringing back boom as a #4 ster too, if his market is cold after leading the team in tacks and energy. dang shame your pass coverage is #1 trait for ILB now, look at what Luke started....

rams targeted nick Scott and boom both games.... you just have to cover now, or you will be thrown at non-stop.

Caleb Downs is definitely not gonna be there at 19.

he's even less than sonny, <place no one will last until 19 meme".

Plus If I'm sonny, Im done for combine. I would quit after that vert. My agent can handle the rest...

The ND RB is going to give us nightmares for years

him with Bijan Robinson in the division, means you have put a huge investment at stopping the run..... It would totally change the draft needs/wants if that happens......scary part is I believe that's his spot.

Panthers MUST GET fuging NT!!!!!! its been 3 years without one in this system....

I agree with you but that kid has swag, he isnt going to back down from any challenge.   Looking over the draft board teams in the top 5ish are going to have a huge decision between him and downs

That’s what people say. I know I’d see it differently. Bijan is pretty damned good but I don’t have nightmares.

You are talking, likely, (or high potential of) a Ray Lewis or Luke level of impact on the game with Sonny. I hope they do take that RB if they have the two guys both there.

lol no, if he makes it to say 13ish, I wouldnt holler if we traded to get him but that aint happening, that kid is generational

I know it's an unpopular opinion, but draft position is part of why I hate backing into the playoffs. We weren't good enough to win the division, we weren't  winning a SB, and we end up having to move up for a player we could have potentially gotten for free.

If Stiles or Downs is sitting there at 13, does losing a player of that caliber make a weak playoff appearance loss better? I don't think so but that's just my opinion.

    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
    • I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.   he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped? I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.
    • poo I doubt any Bucs fan would trade Baker for BY either lol.
