Yeah he would just be the bridge and auditioning for his next job at that point. I’d imagine a 1st round rookie would be starting before the season is over.

He would request a trade I imagine if we spend a high first on a qb

I think Bryce needs to complete 65% of his passes as the floor---have twice as many TDs as INTs, and throw for around 3400 yards (which is 200 per game on average)

I still base it on this simple indicator:  If you have the ball on your own 20 yard line with 2 timeouts and 2:00 minutes on the clock and you are down by 4, do you head for the exit ramps or do you stick around to celebrate the victory?  In other words, is the other team thinking, "We scored too soon."  If so, if being behind with 80 yards to go and all you have is 2 timeouts and you need a TD gives you swag, you have a franchise qb.
