Seems like Jenkins biggest problem was the coaches and the overall feel of the team that season.

I wouldn't mind giving Vernon Gholston a 1 year, vet min contract. A lot of people thought he fits better as a 4-3 end than a 3-4 OLB. If after training camp he doesn't seem to "get it", then just let him go. No harm, no foul.

He's not more infamous because most people knew he wasn't going to be any good when he was drafted. Seems the only people outside of Mel Kiper that liked him was the idiot running the Jets at the time.
