Out of all 3 of our TE's..

Rosario had too many drops, he was way too inconsistent. He made some good plays, and wasn't terrible, but I think he had a chance to show what he could do and that was made great catches occasionally and drop easy passes other times. Barnidge doesn't get any credit because he hasn't done much. The few times he was thrown at 2 years ago (because he wasn't thrown at last year) he made good plays. I'd like to see what he can do. Regardless of who our starter is next year, hopefully Barnidge at least gets some playing time to see what he can do.

Rosario is the most inconsistant one of the 3, yet everyone wants to give him more chances than they gave colbert or jarrett. That there is some serious man crush.

I thought the kid was going to be our cooley, or clark.

Way to much inconsistency...specially in the passing game. He has failed, and I can admit it.

Haven't seen enough of barn, to even have an opinion.

King is the most consistent catcher of the 3. Sad but true.

So I vote none of the above.

I like that Shockey might come to carolina. But Barnidge is the only TE the Panthers have that they should keep. King can block, but that just lets the other team know that we might run. Basically, we need a TE that doesn't make our offense predictable.

Rosario hasn't shown that he can be a blocker and route runner. King can't get open consistently enough. Barnidge at least has speed and can catch, so if he works on blocking he could be our guy.

But I still think we need to address our TE position, most likely through FA.

Something I noticed about Rosario (this may be common knowledge but for me, a brilliant observation): He catches balls above his head very well, but drops most passes below his numbers. Has anyone else seen this? DO not know what it means.

    • Yeah, I was about to say I hope he's doing okay health-wise because he's not looking good in that pic.
    • Honestly, I dont  think he should be on the hot seat yet. A bad start to next year, then yes. Despite our mistakes on play calling this past season, we played better than anticipated overall. Bryce showed improvement and maturity (although still not nowhere close to our expectations). Better record and 2-15 to 5-12 to 8-9. Despite what we feel the stats dont lie we are improving by 3 wins a year. Could 11-6 be our expectation. That's a high bar but at the rate we are going, thats what its looking like. We all want to see a 5-12 to a 13-4 record but we are methodically moving up. Success doesnt happen overnight (well in most cases).  IMO we are struggling mostly on the defensive end. LB and edge are our biggest weakness. I see Bryce making improvements (even though I was a Bryce hater) next year. Biggest concern is LT on offense. How to fix this? We need a big name edge or to trade up and get a big name edge or LB and pick up one in FA and draft one. Also if in the 3rd we can pick up a TE. Dont know if Sanders is the answer or Tremble (even though I love Trembles blocking and power after the catch). If these two can get their footwork together they would be great. Maybe all they need is a better TE coach. And if Brooks can stay healthy and be the back we thought he could be, man that would be great
