What does everyone think?

I think this board should have its own Panthers Hall of Fame. Induct five players/coaches/execs/owners/whatever for the first class. Then add one per year by vote. This would be the fans only chance to ever have their OWN Hall of Fame, and since this is the number one gathering spot for Panthers fans....

I say this should be the inaugural class (subject to vote, of course)....

It would never work. Certain members love to argue over things that they do agree about, much less things that they don't agree on. And, sorry, a forum Panthers hall of fame is destined for contentiousness.

my only problem with this is how long until we've pretty much put half the team in the hall of fame? That's the same dynamic everytime a player retires we need to make a statue outside BOA. "minter statue" "rucker statue" "stephen davis statue", or even retire their numbers. The hall of fame is supposed to be for extremely elite players/coaches on the team. Lawrence Taylor for one, and Bill Parcells would be perfect examples of inductees to a team HOF, in this case the Giants.

Well, I think players should not be active to qualify for induction into the HHoF. Otherwise, I like the idea.

Start out with five, then vote on one add per year. So for this year, you would probably add Kasay or Walls. Next year, Rucker or Peppers or Michael Bates or whoever. Before long, you'd have more players you'd want in than you could put in.
