Nascar the Game 2011, Top Spin 4, Tiger Woods 2012

Is anyone planning on picking up any of these games and playing?

I am thinking about picking up Nascar just because I am a huge nascar fan and it would be cool to run some laps. I’ve heard the game is not great, but that it’s a good start. Top Spin 4 is supposed to be an excellent game with the AI being better than AI in any other game. I’ve only tried playing in real life a couple times, and have never played a tennis game… But I’m thinking hard about this title… TW2012 seems to be polished and made some improvements from last year….

I think I only have time to play 1 of these games, so I’m leaning towards Nascar. But top spin 4 and TW12 are both supposed to be excellently built games.

I picked up nascar 11 this afternoon, havent had a chance to play it yet with the gf's friends over here. I did hear that you can customize your car in game better then the EA nascar games, but you cant paint one in say, photoshop and import it. thats gonna suck, but I can deal with that.

I might try out Tiger Woods, but I played Top Spin on the first xbox and its just not my style of game. not much of a tennis fan.

ok, well I just spent 2 hours trying to paint a car. No manufacturers decals or headlight decals as promised, they are coming out in either a patch or rumors as a dlc. gameplay is good, there are some bugs, like I was racing at Daytona, got spun out and turned this way and that, hit the wall slid about 50 feet backwards and no caution. a couple laps later Im running 1 lap and a half down, go into the pits and BAM! caution for debris. Looking at the reply, Kyle Busch barely got tapped by Bowyer and just ever so slightly fish tailed for the caution. Another thing, the AI racing (drafting, bump drafting) is superb. AI when they have to pit, idiotic. For some reason, they didnt pit on ths caution, but like 3-4 laps later, I think it was about 15-20 lead lap cars. I didnt try online yet, but Ive heard bad things about that too. Its fun though, better then EA IHMO if they fix the bugs. This is a step in the right direction.

the dev team is going to address the issues tomorrow so it seems they actually care about their product instead of just selling games(EA)

Awesome!!! I had heard about some of those bugs, but like you said it is supposed to be addressed with the patch. I picked the game up last night, but did not get a chance to play it. I plan to put some hours in tonight...

Are you using the controller or a wheel? I was going to buy a wheel, but the 360 doesn;t seem to have any good ones since xbox discontinued theirs... If I get one I will wait until I can find the xbox one for a bargain on ebay.

I used the controller, but im looking for a wheel though. One more thing, and it might be a little nitpicking, but I dont want my spotter telling me he's up there eating shrimp cocktails and whining about the fans hotdogs when there are cars around me. :ee:

I friggin hate NASCAR 2011 the Game. MP sucks ass. can't change the setup online, and you only get in 1 outta 7 races that start, even then its a toss up if your car will start with the other cars. I sat at the start line for about 45 seconds while getting lapped before my engine kicked in. Thats happened more than a few times. Paint booth is ok if it worked correctly. While you are painting the car, the logos will randomly disappear. You then have to scroll back down to where it is and manually bring it back. And I encountered a new bug in it today. My paint color matched up perfectly in the booth. When I went racing with it, 4 different shades of yellow showed up on it on the track. I had just spent about 2 hours making the #81 Hardees Monte Carlo Russ Wheeler Days of Thunder car. and I chose 81 because 18 was taken by Kryle Busch. So, F*ck this game.

+1...

I was so hyped for this game... After a week I took it back to gamestop, traded it in for $22, and took a $40 loss. But I did get top spin 4 in it's place and I love that game... It's funny because Nascar is far greater than tennis IRL for me.

But the Nascar game was a HUGE disappointment... What don't I like??? Just about everything in the game.

Im with you guys in the disappointment in the new nascar game. Mp sucks.. there's only one game mode , no nationwide or trucks. I would have loved to have minigames, such as accident avoidance challenges and or games that were featured in the prior game. But yea its sucks but maybe it will grow on me. I use to just race stock cars on Forza but there are only 3 tracks and i do enjoy all the tracks.they feature .

But i am really thinking about getting into iracing, i hear that's where the real action is.

    • Looking Back at the 2021 Panthers Draft Class An NFL player's career on average is said to last just slightly over three years, and because of that, it's considered a general rule of thumb that by Year 3, a team knows what kind of professional football player a pick has developed into. While there are always exceptions to the rule, that's not the point of this topic. This is about the players who are still on the team after being picked up in the 2021 draft (or as UDFAs). Only four remain on the roster today: Jaycee Horn, Chuba Hubbard, Tommy Tremble, and Brady Christensen. Two of them signed significant contract extensions with the team (Horn, Hubbard) while the other two (Tremble, Christensen) received short-term deals that aren't cap-heavy. It's worth mentioning the conditions these guys entered the league under Matt Rhule's second year and Scott Fitterer's first. A ton of players were brought in that year, including a long snapper who didn't make the team… instead of Trey Smith, who just happens to be the Chiefs' starting guard (hey... to be fair to Thomas Fletcher, he did have a fun draft day phone call). These four survived Rhule and Reich and were seen as valuable enough under the first-year combo of Morgan and Canales to be rewarded with second deals. Jaycee Horn (Round 1, Pick 8.) Horn has all of the traits of a true CB1: elite footwork, physicality, and the ability to mirror WR1s... but his biggest challenge has been staying on the field. He's never finished an entire season, though to be fair, it's been rumored he wouldn’t have been shut down for the final two weeks of last season had the team been in playoff contention. He's got just 37 career games played over four seasons (with 15 of those coming in Morgan/Canales' Year 1). The team gambled on his production after seeing that not only can he lock down WR1s in man or match quarters, but he can also be dependable in a heavy cover-3 zone scheme like what the Panthers ran last season. With the recent free agent and draft additions made this offseason, expect Jaycee to go back to eliminating WR1s from the game rather than shutting down a third of the field like he was recently asked to do. Chuba Hubbard (Round 4, Pick 126) Originally seen as a depth pick with linear speed, Hubbard has outperformed expectations and emerged as the team's RB1 over the past couple of years. His 2023 breakout laid the foundation, but in 2024 he cemented his role as the lead back, showing much-improved vision, contact balance, and decisiveness in outside zone. He finished top-10 in missed tackles forced and yards after contact per attempt, all while holding his own in pass protection and producing on screens. Chuba doesn't have elite burst or wiggle, but he's carved out a spot as the leader and tone-setter in the run game. Not bad value for a Day 3 selection—positional value be damned. Tommy Tremble (Round 3, Pick 83) Tremble has been the kind of player every team needs but few talk about: dependable, physical, and quietly versatile. When he was drafted, he was already known for his blocking chops and has steadily improved as a receiver. He experienced his most complete season in 2024 with a 79.3% catch rate, 10.2 yards per reception, no drops, and a 108.9 passer rating when targeted. Not only that, he's been a consistent special teamer since coming into the league. He's a natural fit as a TE/FB hybrid in 12 and 13 personnel, consistently handling the dirty work in both run and pass situations. Brady Christensen (Round 3, Pick 70) BC has played all over the line both as a starter and as a back-up. We haven't seen the "short arms" come up as often as Rhule was worried about, especially against ATL and WAS where he logged over 100 snaps at center and posted his best grades of the year (76.0 OVR, 73.8 PBL, 75.8 RBLK vs. ATL; 85.2 OVR, 72.9 PBLK, 86.0 RBLK vs. WAS). While his overall pass-blocking grade (56.1) and lack of a consistent position might mean that he's the perfect OL6 rather than a long-term starter, he's been dependable when given his opportunities.
    • Fees nowadays are ridiculous. After purchasing concert tickets for my son’s 18th birthday and paying the rest of our HHI trip with 3 other families, I’m shocked at how much they are. Honestly, it’s grand theft. Some is taxes but in a world where everything is electronic, fees should be cheaper. Electrons don’t cost 10-30% of the event.
