No, I didn't. I claimed that Williams is the best RB in the league, and that it hurt the team when he went out. I was arguing against your claim that it had no effect.

Clausen was a rookie. I am not going to pass suck or no suck judgment on him until he has at least one more season.

I never said it was a logical reason for Clausen not performing well. His being a rookie is a logical reason for not performing well.

I was just saying that you cannot brush off losing a RB of Williams' caliber, and I stand by that. Stewart and Goodson are not as good as Williams. I will argue that Williams has proven to be the best back in the league. You cannot lose that, and assume to continue without any setback.

I think Williams peaked in 08. I don't think they lost THAT guy last year. Don't get me wrong I love Williams but he is going to be getting worse while Stewart gets better. If everyone is healthy now, I don't think Williams > Stewart. I think you see that when Stewart gets the starts and bulk of the load the past 2 seasons.

It's going to be interesting to see what we get out of Williams this season. I think his performances last season were just as impressive, if not more, than in the prior couple of seasons. Defenses knew exactly what we were going to do, yet he was still able to grind out 5ypc with at least 8 in the box and sometimes even 9 or 10. Maybe he got injured, maybe had said Fug this retarded ass offense. I don't know. You may be right, he could be on the down slope. I'm hoping the new regime will rekindle his spirit and he'll be right back in the swing.

I agree that his performance sucked last season.

I am not ready to say whether he has the ability and fortitude to bounce back and be a solid QB in the NFL. Only time will tell on that one.

I just think his Memphis years might be catching up with him. Not sure we can count on a 28 yr old Williams for 16.
