Mock Draft analysis

Went to a mock draft database that had 183 mock drafts posted. After performing detailed analysis to verify that the drafts were well conceived (actually, there were 3 that had Andrew Luck going number 1 so I threw those out) I settled on 180 mock drafts to gather data from. Here are the numbers

Pick Count Picking 1st Percentage

Newton 52 29%

Fairley 42 23%

Gabbert 33 18%

Bowers 19 11%

Dareus 16 9%

Green 10 6%

Peterson 7 4%

Quinn 1 1%

180 100%

If we assume this is all correct

Statistically speaking and using standard deviations and binomial distributions

- There is about an 81.3 % chance that Newton is will be a Panther

- There is about a 98.7% chance that either Newton or Fairley will be a Panther

Sorry to ruin it for you guys. I certainly will not be watching now.

So 42 people still have Fairley at #1? Another 19 have Bowers and one guy has Quinn? :confused:
