Not taking newton makes huddlers happy?

I think he's an excellent prospect and his off the field stuff has never bothered me. His throwing motion is pretty good but everything else is awful and while I've heard he's a hard worker learning at an NFL level could be too much. It seems like he's a good leader and likeable so I would be thrilled if he were to work out well.

But he makes me nervous while peterson, green, and dareus do not.

Moore will start over both if we are playing that game.

If you recall, I said Clausen would bring more embarrassment to this franchise than he will production.

Too early to say I told you so?

If MM played better "like planned" we wouldn't be in this situation.

But he didn't and Jimmy couldn't play us out of it either. So now let's live with the results of their bad play.

Offense struggled the most last year we were last in every offensive stat known to man I think. Its clear that Jimmy is not a leader I really dont believe he has the tools to be and elite quarterback in this league. If people really felt like he could be great I dont think he would have went in the second round and I really believe we just took an unknown gamble on him because they want really sold on Moore because if they were they probabky wouldnt have draft Clausen. Quarterbacks taken in the second round most of them are rare who turn out great Drew brees and Bret favre. I am willing to give Jimmy a chance because I believe everybody deserved a second chance and i dont believe he got a fair shake.

But passing up on newton can be costly also because what if Jimmy dont workout what if newton developd into something good. Then that leaves Ron Rivera and Marty stuck looking for a QB that they might not get and might not have a job long enough to have. Free agency goes to the highest bidder, trades could cost you more for short term success Carson palmer who could retire in a year or so and im not even sold on Kolb. So you would be better off getting your guy and developing him.

Its a chance and its a risk but if you hit the nail on the head we will have a franchise Quarterback and no longer be at the bottom of the league.

Just my honest opinion.
