If he is dealt this will be the biggest upset for Carolina Fans. Loosing Peppers would be nothing compared to loosing Smitty. He has been a fan favorite for a decade now, and the team just wouldn't be the same without him. :(

Actually according to this teams can do (trade, sign or cut) whatever they want. They just won't know the rules to the new league year until 8am tomorrow. The big question would be are players without 6 years RFA or is 4 years enough or any years just as long as your contract ran out. So a player like Matt Moore could be traded or sign as a RFA or walk away a UFA.
