Nolan Nawrocki puts Cam Newton No. 1 in his mock draft

people like tarheels23, blow job monster, and ncmonzta are the reasons I hate Cam newton.

It makes me think that only complete idiots get behind the guy, therefore, I want nothing to do with him or the retards he brings with him.

I dont care who you hate or like. What I got to say isnt going to mean anything because in the end of the day the only opinion counts is Marty hurney and Ron Rivera.

Some people are literally too stupid to argue with.

And you sir are too smart for your own good! You my friend is the guy in "Major League" that kept hating even after they started winning. LOL

Influenced, past tense.

Thank you for proving my point.

I just try and distance myself from stupid people as much as possible. Taking Cam Newton first overall means I have to deal with more stupid people than I normally would.

You saw it happen to Atlanta.

The moment Vick was picked, the collective avg IQ of Falcon fans dropped by monumental proportions.

you don't pay a guy #1 overall money to have him sit on the bench.

Me nor you pay him do anything. JR pays him. And if wants to invest in Cam Newton for long term investment bc he thiks it gives the franchise the best chance to be successful, that is the only person who matters. He may not even need to sit for a year. We may have camp next week.

Cam apparently did well with his playbook test, Gruden says he has great retention on plays, so for all we know he could be starter day 1 if he learns quickly.

I hope that he is (if we pick him).

It has just been proven over and over and over that you do not pay a QB 60-70 million to sit on the bench when our other QB's are not All-Pro's.

Cam will not be the pick. Period.

There is no way we pay someone 50+ million guaranteed to ride pine for the next 2 years just to hope he could be an NFL worthy QB. If you took him at 12-15 in the first then the risk/reward is acceptable but not with the #1 overall. This would be the dumbest move in the history of the Panthers franchise.

why do we allow people like this on the board

As Mike Vick took them from one of the worst franchises in all the NFL to a playoff team virtually overnight?

If Cam Newton is as "bad" as Vick in ATL then our future is very bright indeed.

    • He’s been every bit as much of the problem as anyone else. You cant remove him from that fact, he is just as much part of the team and in THE most important position on the field. But this is the first season he’s seen any kind of continuity in his team and coaches. And he’s shown flashes here and there. But we do need more out of him going forward a lot more if we are going to be successful
    • Bryce isn’t great and super mid. But I think can be a game manager. What do we think is out there? Daniel Jones isn’t going anywher. Mac Jones? Zach Wilson? Pickett. I’m just not sure what’s out there that is much better without having to give up a ton of capital. Rather take one more step closer to contention with our early rounders next year with FS and LB help. Make this  place where dang they got a defense and a WR1 and solid RB room. I can win with that and want to be here
    • AR15 is if Justin Fields was fragile and his teammates hated him. No thanks. Ya'll think you hate watching Bryce Young? Wait until your QB can't even complete a 7 yard pass over the middle, which Fields and Richardson can't do. If the draft class was better, I could absolutely see the Titans moving on from Ward already if they got the #1 pick. But so far the college QB's haven't impressed enough. They'll have flashes, but then follow it up with a very meh game. Kyler is already done in Arizona, but he has a ridiculous contract and he's basically Bryce that likes to scramble, so no thanks. If Lawrence can't produce with that team in Jacksonville, what do you think he'll do here? He's tall Bryce who can throw deep but can't make the 4th down throws and crumbles in the red zone. No thanks. I do think Canales wants to move on from Bryce, his body language says so even in wins. He treated Bryce pretty odd this week and Bryce looked checked out in the Packers game. But unless they make another risky trade, its going to be slim pickings. Basically our hopes lie in hitting early in the draft with a Mateer, Nussmeier, Beck type or finding a random backup free agent that has another gear to hit.  I think even with the draft being wishy washy, 4-5 QB's will be taken in the top 7. A lot of teams are just that desperate.
