Tight end wasn't a big need IMO, with shockey, Rosario and barnidge we really don't need a draft prospect who wouldn,t have been better than who we have. Few.guys at the fifth round or lower would have been Upgrades. no need to draft a guy who wouldn't make the Team. WLe filled more important holes.

Why do I care? Why do you care? Everybody has an opinion, doesn't make them right or wrong. Until the team is finish being assembled, which BTW it is not. Hopefully we will have an aggressive FA period if it happens. And until games are played nobody really knows anything about the teams this year. Except for the usual 5 or 6 teams every year, any team can completely surprise the NFL nation. Personally I would like to be like a Panther and pounce on them all and leave them wondering 'Where the hell did they come from?!' So who give a poo! Most of us real Panther fans know the team is not that bad, and now with draft over with, we are a little better. IMHO, so ride with it and laugh at them.

Your fault that you don't watch college ball. I wouldn't call anybody we drafted a scrub by any means, and a lot of the latter picks were great value that contributed a lot to their respective program.

We don't necessarily have to have an epicly athletic one like virgil green , but would it not be nice to have an antonio gates / vernon davis on this team , shockey wont be here forever and do we even know if he will even try to mentor the young guys ? That is what i mean by need , because for instance we had so many olb's last year that should have been the last thing we drafted but we did that anyway ?

I don't think is anything more pointless than rating what players a team took in a draft! I mean, there are so many factors that you can't even acknowledge when rating a team's draft, including how certain players fit in a certain system, etc, that to rate a draft - this early - is absolutely ridiculous.

Then again, there isn't much else going on, right? So, go for it... !!! haha

      I'd rather get a vet to fill XL's spot for a chain mover and give Jimmy Horn more reps since he's basically our Ted Ginn speed guy. T-Mac and Coker are locked in as the top 2. They honestly fuged up giving XL the start over Moore in the playoff game

      I have been looking for a dropped pass list and all that comes up is QBs. And team stats. When I do receivers I get the passing stats for a handful that threw passes this year.    I wanted to be accurate but anyhow I was looking because thought I remembered reading where T Mac had more drops than XL this year.  One of you many smarter than me people here,I would appreciate it if you know how to pull that up, please do. Thank you.    And yeah I know that isn’t all there is to it I just thought it was interesting.  Of course what the hell is a drop lol.

      I agree with this and I think it's worth mentioning too that Bryce is not consistent on his placement and especially velocity and that in large part is driven by his footwork. We all know XL doesn't have the best hands and I don't know that he can overcome that. Cam always had the heater that just hit your hands and sank into your grip, where Bryce has some that are harder thrown, some soft. Bryce stepping into a pass looks so much different than that hop throw thing he does. I think XL really needs to hit the jugs machine and start learning how to catch all these different touch passes. TMac and Coker don't have these issues. If XL doesn't get some work in he's going to be out of the league in the next couple of years.
