i was actually expecting more talk about pedigrees, but still decent read...unless you're a clausen fan.

technically, clausen did everything to make himself a good QB. he was given a lot to help him succeed. only thing that didn't do was prepare him to be a leader. what newton got at blinn, imo, was far better than any coaching clausen ever got and that was being taught what it is to be a good leader.

both will work hard, but newton has natural talent and intangibles that clausen just doesn't have. thats going to help him achieve far more than clausen.

Its fair to say he had something to do with it and its why Clausen stopped taking advice from him. Delhomme,Moore, and Clausen all did poorly under him and thats just his panthers resume.
