Question About Merchandise

Ok so the owners have prohibited players from using team facilities etc but they are still allowed to sell player jerseys etc? Something doesnt sound right there.

It's probably something stipulated in player contracts...the players may be locked out but teams still own their rights within the NFL.

It does seem odd, but the player names and likenesses are the property of the NFL so they can continue to sell jerseys and other player-specific merchandise during the lockout.

the NFL and owners get royalties from the sales, but the owners don't own the stores or the merchandies.

The merchandise that is sold in the stadiums is outsourced to an outside company, and the owners only get a percentage of the sales.
