When dealing with aches and pains

Are you the kind of person who goes to the doctor to find out whats the matter or do you just deal with it?

I realize it depends on the kind of pain you're having but lets just say it's something that is not an emergency but is something that has been bothering you.

I'd say if you can find causation then stop in to see the doctor. If it's just a random event then just deal with it appropriately

I broke my hand a few weeks ago and tried to walk it off. So i regret not going to the doctor sooner.

But stuff that's more of an internal thing i go see immediately. I once thought i had really bad heartburn but it hurt so bad i went to the doctor. It turns out I had a very bad strain of the Coxsacki virus with blisters all the down my asophagus:eek:

I've been having really really bad mouth pain for like 1.5 months. I think I need a root canal or something. It's really really bad sometime and sometimes it's not at all. Been taking some Goody's powder, ibufrofen, Tylenol here and there (not as the same time) to try to keep it under wraps.

The other night I had to get one of my wife's mother's pills (called Roxies on the street I think) and I was good and finally slept, after not sleeping for 3-4 days. Apparently, when I lay down the blood pressure goes to my head and it makes it unbearable, which is why I couldn't sleep.

I'm a super tight wad, and I had dental insurance for like 4 years up until my wife lost her job 3-4 months ago. Bad luck.

I know I'll eventually have to go to the dentist and put a ton of money on my debt, but the procrastinator in me will deal with it as long as I can.

I just drive on until it becomes a real pain or things start turning red or swelling up.

Then I'll se a Dr. I should just go in at the onset but I am stubborn and think I can "Man-Thru" anything.

We are "double covered" and have no co-pays and my Dr. will make room for me to drop in so it makes no sense to suffer unnecessarily

That has to be the most hilarious word I have ever seen

Yeah i got it in high school so that was a lot of fun explaining it to people. I remember my Spanish teacher started laughing about it when i told her. So i started making jokes calling it penisballsitis, dicknuts disease, and shaft-package syndrome. She laughed but gave me lunch detention which was totally wrong. If you laugh you can't be offended, it's the rule!
