I think majority of questions on this forum are not based on race.

so when EVERY criticism is presented as racism, are you saying it's okay to attack 100% of criticisms based on assumption?

because I see every now and then the thug term brought up and every person is obviously ignorant (whether deeply bigoted or just naive to the terms they use)... and those people get bashed.

so considering that, I'm not sure why everyone else gets attacked just for having a criticism when clearly race isn't on everyone's mind.

is that an issue for some? sure, are we assuming "some" means "everyone", because we have very different definitions.. and I have to assume that, because your response clearly is assuming everyone is a racist because stating "the other side" says 0% has to do with race is far from what people believe..

from what I've read.. granted, I stay out of these pathetic conversations as often as possible. this caught my eye, and for that I will regret posting this.. ;)

I agree there's no point in arguing about it. So if I want to point out that there are people who think Cam is dumb because he's black, why I'm a being called a racist or a "race card puller"? I never said everything said negative about Cam is racism. Just pointed out there are people out there like that. read each bolded part in succession.. and then ask yourself how you come to the conclusion that "pointing out racism does exist" is so relevant to most topics in this forum which you ended up saying at the end.

because the "one's you're referring to" seem to be a very ambiguous group of people, that in the past a few others want to attack for no real reason.

we aren't talking about people who use the word thug loosely and deserve to get bashed.

maybe this doesn't apply to you entirely. but if you're curious why people are "sensitive", just look to other people who do this exact thing.. they take "racism exists" and apply it to every person who criticizes Cam.

my point is, people won't be sensitive if other people quit throwing the term so loosely.. especially about people who no one has ever met.

and people are sensitive for one reason.. because they criticized someone in the past and out of no where were accused of something pretty much off the wall.. no terms or implications made.

now, it's a bigger discussion than 1 discussion or 1 thread.. it's a culmination of threads over years... so you don't need to roll your eyes like this issue is brand new and each topic is it's own entity. they are not.

By hater, do you mean ANYONE who questions the pick and whether Cam will be able to transition to an NFL offense?

Maybe there are people who hate Cam on here....maybe there are people on here who are racists and don't want a black QB...maybe there are people who want to see Cam fail. Given a group as diverse as this MB, there is bound to be.

However, most people who questioned the pick did so because statistically speaking it is a huge transition to go from a running-spread offense to a traditional NFL pro-style offense. Many QB's from those situations do not succeed and with the amount you invest in a #1 pick it could be a very expensive mistake.

Most are the same people that questioned The Golden Calf of Bristol last year....the same that question whether any QB in this draft was worth the #1 pick.

By broadly just calling everyone who does not agree with you a "hater", you sound like an illiterate fool.

Not everyone on here is a racist. There are plenty of good arguments that can be made concerning our new QB that have nothing to do with race.

It took less than 5 posts for this thread to turn into a soap box and this embarrassment to the forum is now approaching 400 because of race-baiting and race-based comments alone.

I don't think Cam is dumb. I don't think he is a MENSA candidate either.

He is however a rookie QB who is entering a new system, his 4th in 4 years, with a team who is going to be getting used to a kid as their leader,again and an entirely new staff. Much more negative has been published than positive about his past which is the nature of the press. Negatively toned issues are what is remembered. That is just human nature. There is a lot of evidence pointing to his own father taking cash for his services. The laptop thing was stupid from the purchase of a stolen item to the logging on the campus net to the whole window incident.

He has overcome quite a bit nevertheless and by all counts seems to be working hard. So far so good in my book.
