I really hope NFL doesn't renew their contract with EA, but knowing just because it's John Madden's game they probably will.

Madden sucks. They are allowed to continue pumping out shitty games year after year because they have no competition. Everything about the game, excluding online mode, is awful. Franchise mode is downright unplayable because a lack of options and it's WAY too easy.

and before you ask, I haven't bought Madden 11 for my PS3 and I don't plan on it. Don't plan on buying Madden 12 either.

Lol bring age into the conversation, great argument technique. How about you answer the question tho? Where did anyone say the game sucked because the controls are too complex? Nowhere. Who besides Mr. Touchdown said the game was terrible before you posted? I'm not being ridiculous, those are called facts. And I don't need a Sega to know that Madden 09, 10, and 11 are pretty much the same game. Sure it has changed from the early days but recently its pretty much the same. But please continue avoiding the questions and bringing up things that have no relation to the topic.

Edit: I was wrong tarheelpride also said it was a horrible game. So you have a grand total of two people who said the game was terrible, although neither mentioned the controls so no clue where you got that idea.

And I have a copy of Madden 93 on Super Nintendo. So yeah I do have an idea of how far it has come. But again nice try trying to use my age to prove a point even tho it failed. Come harder next time. Have a nice day :D

I don't agree with a million things the game has done over the years, it is a monopoly, but I also played 2K... Horrible gameplay, lots of fake tackles... Basketball hames are bad ass though. We agree to disagree... Truce! Enough is enough. It's a damn video game. I mean really. Is this really that serious?

I actually enjoy playing Madden. I just think recently they haven't really improved the game much from year to year.

And this is mostly my fault, after re-reading my post it sounds like I was attacking you which wasn't my intention so I apologize. I was seriously asking where you came up with the complex controls thing because it wasn't mentioned here, hence why I said you made it up.

NFL 2K5 is the most realistic in terms of how football is played and had way more to do on it than any madden still has to do. Among that it allowed first person football , your own house , halftime shows / franchise end of the week highlight shows where they don't just talk . That's why people keep saying they want 2k to be allowed to make the games , Madden wouldn't have half the following .. also i think NFL Street 1-3 are better as well .. were alot more fun to play.

You might be right I do play Madden every year but I havent messed with NBA Live since NBA2K came out

I didnt like nfl2k. I tried 2 of their games and I thought the feel of it just was bad. I didnt buy Madden last year. I think they're better though, they just have some unnecessary features and it takes a while to get the sliders where you want them. Playing NFL2k felt like I was playing a prototype.

That's essentially what it was though honestly .. the all pro 2k8 game had nowhere to go from the beginning because they couldn't use any of the player names. Some of the animations like running and style and such did look kind of weird , but if you look deeper , they had stuff on 2k5 and that game madden 10 was calling "brand new". They had the Refs measuring first downs , They had custom stadium music , They had gang tackles.. I'm just saying if they would've been allowed to continue with the formula they had , this could be a whole new ball game right now.

IMO being able to edit players is retarded. What point does it serve? I don't see how it helps the game
