Chris Weinke on WFNZ about training Cam

Seriously guys, quit all the flirting and just get it over with and fug already.

I love it when people ask me if I'm going to fug :)

As Niners fan you may just want him to fail so you feel vindicated.

Way to get that same joke mixed in. If you keep saying it, you will convince people that I truly am a 49ers fan.

It's not like anyone else here had a favorite team growing up that wasn't the Panthers, you know, because they've been around forever.

Yeah, he passed the ball about 50 times in that loss to the Giants and threw 3 INT's, and people thought he was a star. Then they went to Atlanta and the coaching staff only let him throw it about 7 times, and we won with D-Will running the wildcat. That was crazy.

I know :) Those two games were crazy but at least fun to watch bc Henning showed some innovation. Even if the run and shoot game (Weinke game) was a failure.

I brought him up because I hope everyday Cam Newton proves him wrong. This is the first step.

Plus when I challenged Narwocki's report at the time it spawned into 4 different threads about how awesome Narwocki was.

So you were doing it out of spite and hate for Norwicki and the posters who supported or defended his opinion.

Thus taking away from the positivity and making it vengeful and negative.

You don't want to go down that path with Cam unless you truly feel he will play lights out each and every week.

Or I am defending a QB that is a Panther now and rooting for him to prove people like Narwocki wrong.

And at this point I have no choice but to stick with Cam and hope he plays lights out. But nobody plays lights out every week and I have no doubt that as a rookie there will be struggles. But I also think we made the right pick.

Unlike you TRD I am rooting for him to be successful because that means the Panthers are successful, not to gloat that I was right.

Do you want him to succeed or do you want to be right??

Your premise isn't correct.

I have nothing personal invested in him so I do not care if he succeeds or fails, I want the Panthers to succeed. Do I think that will happen? Maybe, but not in the near future.

Would I be ecstatic if I was right? No, you get used to it after a while.

I want the Panthers as a team to succeed and I don't think the player we selected helps us achieve that goal. I will not be changed emotionally if he does or doesn't succeed.

If you care so little about Cam why do you post so much about him??

And since I have been here you have been right about 0% of the time. Since you think the team is destined to failure as well as Cam Newton I hope you continue your fail streak.

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
