Not sure if this goes in here or Nerdvana, but whatever.

The 4th installment of the franchise, a great franchise may I add, and the 1st without Kiera Knightly and Orlando Bloom, and WITH Penelope Cruz and mermaids.

I think the movie was still great, even without Kiera and Orlando. It's a fantastic series, but just like every other movie in the franchise, Depp makes it happen with his great acting.

The mermaids and the new cast members are great additions too.

If you're a fan of the movies, go and see it for sure.

i saw it, and enjoyed it. the after credit scene isn't worth staying for really. credits are around 8 minutes. i found the vid on youtube instead of hanging around for it.

Other than Blow i'm not a fan of Penelope Cruz and as for the mermaid (Astrid Berges-Frisbey) is sexy as hell.

I saw it on Friday. It is OK but just remember its more of a tales of captain Jack sparrow as opposed to Pirates of the caribbean movie. Lots of stuff rehashed from the first movie.

Worst of all the movies. Lacked character development and was a confused plot line. Rental at best.

Is it worth the extra money for 3D or no? We'll probably see it one night this week or the weekend.

i went to a matinee and saw it in 3D. some of it is noticeable. like fly overs on islands. not as much as avatar though.

I was done with the series after the scene with the giant rolling thing on the island with the three fighting. The third one never interested me enough to even watch.

I enjoy them I think mostly because they are so unrealistic. There's nothing about them that makes me feel bad about the world I live in the way a crime drama would.
