Your opinion of porn...

I put down that I love it, of course. It makes me a living and I do enjoy it.

There are things out there that I don't much care for and consider to be something of a black eye on the business.

Max Hardcore is a good example. I don't claim to have a lot of insider information on the guy, but everything leads me to the idea that with the exception of just a few of the performers he's used (Catalina, Queeny Love, and a couple others) that he does indeed purposely cast women that really don't know what their getting into. As a result, he gets the kind of reaction from them that only a misogynist could enjoy.

Don't get me wrong. I don't have a problem with rough stuff in general. I love the work that Mason (a female director) has done in this realm and I admire the hell out of Belladonna and some other women who not only perform in such scenes, but love it.

The point is, that as an insider, I know there's a lot of directors/producers/studio owners/industry medical service providers/talent agents who really don't care about anyone but themselves and are a-okay with the idea of putting someone else (especially female performers) through the ringer if it makes'em some scratch.

And I hate that sh!t.

So, in other words, it's a double edged sword for me.

That's... umm... a really intense point of view.

Incidentally... I read an interview with a former porn start, that said Herpes is so rampant in the business, they hand out acyclovir tablets like candy during shoots.

Any idea if that true?

I wouldn't call it intense, really. But after working in and around the business since 2001, I've seen my share of both the good and bad.

And what you read is true to some degree. As I understand it, Herpes is common. So is gonorrhea, PID, and HPV. It's just kind of a fact of life in the business that you'll probably catch something at some point. You may work in the business for a long time and never get one of these diseases, but it probably means you've either been extraordinarily cautious or just plain lucky.

But it's just like any other job. If you're a construction worker, the likelihood of being injured at some point in your career is pretty high, even if it's just twisting your ankle while hopping out of the cab of a cement truck.

As far as suppressive medication being handed out on porn sets, this is a new on on me and I strongly doubt it's true. Something like this may have been done as a joke, but I can assure you that this isn't common practice. It sounds more like something the ex-performer said for shock value, which is pretty common. Porn is the perfect topic for those prone to sensationalism.

The industry does have a dedicated "medical clinic" that oversees STD testing and other pertinent services, but it really is a ramshackle organization headed up by an ex-porn performer with a fake doctorate from a fake school.

Yeah, you can see where this is going, right?

I don't like pornography and think it should be outlawed but I watch it since it's addicting and I'm hooked. The worst part about porn is the slippery slope affect. Might be a fallacy for some, but I used to enjoy looking at swimsuit models. Now I read hentai manga about girls being decapitated and raped. I read a hentai manga about a girl being raped by several men then tortured and ultimately buried in concrete. That stuff did not turn me on when I was in middle school, that I'm certain.

And the Japanse gravure idol videos...

I fear what I'll be looking at in the future.

Wow... I hope you are joking... if not, get some counseling or something man.

Everything has it's place, I think porn should only be sold in a business place or sold online without graphics. It's too accessible to anyone including children these days. I don't like the idea of porn online. :hand:

    • At least Rivera got the Super Bowl, and then lost is because he refused to adjust.  Rod’s likely will never get to the Stanley Cup unless the team he coaches is stacked and can overcome Rods weird decisions making.
    • Reddit has one of the most toxically positive fan base. You cannot criticize the team at all. If you do downvoted.
    • We've literally seen him hop around the pocket to survey the field in multiple occurrences. Defenses have this on tape. Cam and QB's like him built the way he was height and strength wise could get by on those natural gifts in their prime. Bryce Young is unequivocally going to have to go above and beyond with his footwork in order to carve out not just a long career but an elite career worthy of a top overall draft selection. We should be able to wholeheartedly agree with one another on that. Intermediate sideline throws without placing the ball out of bounds where the receiver has to contort themselves or make an absurd acrobatic catch for it to be a completion. And yes developing a better chemistry in the deep passing game with his receivers to avoid miscues. Both areas will need to see improvement if the young offense is to develop the way we hope in 2025. And we don't necessarily need to be winning mind you. But development of the supporting cast requires this from Bryce. We have invested a ton of capital in the offensive line. We've invested heavily in WR. We've invested in our backfield. We've invested in TE. We've got a young up and coming offensive minded head coach. The expectation should be for our redzone efficiency to improve significantly. That is not just on Bryce Young. But at the end of the day it will always begin and end with him more often than not. It's always been that way and that's just the nature of the position in this league. And not for nothing but before we drafted Bryce Young nobody was going around here saying we need elite play across the board and top shelf coaching for him to be effective. His biggest selling point was his ability to succeed off script and make something out of nothing. We're certainly going to have to see that come to fruition. Now we wait.
