Never on Memorial day, but I did drive up on the 4th of July. Whats your starting point?

Davidson/cornelius, so I was going to go 81 or thru bfe Va.

Seems like everyone is comfirming I95 is going to suck. I will be going to Georgetown but Im not leaving til 6pm. Just trying to get a feel for the travel time on 95 during holidays.

Thanks for the help!

If your leaving at 6pm, then that puts you in the area around 11ish I would think. Shouldn't be too bad then but all it takes is 1 wreck to back things up.

Its going to be nasty around DC regardless of which direction you take. 81 might be a bit better though, so that you avoid Greensboro, RDU, and Richmond.

Then again, leaving at 6 pm, you probably wont have it bad anywhere along the route.

I live in Martinsville, VA. 2:15 minute drive to BOA.

1. 85N to 52 at Linwood

2. 52 to Business 40E in Winston-Salem

3. B 40E to NC 150 just east of Winston (like 2 miles)

4. NC 150 to NC 68 in Oak Ridge

5. NC 68 to US 220 to Roanoke

6. In Roanoke take 220 to 81

7. 81 to 66. Take 66E and go straight into DC without ever touching a 95

    • I binged the entire series, including Ep 9, this afternoon. It's a hockey version Hard Knocks, but well worth the watch.
    • People seem to forget that Wallace is still 23 and will not turn 24 until February 2027.  There were a lot of players drafted who are older.
    • The only thing I can say about Bryce is this. He has gotten a little better every year.  Still not great, but better.  And in his first season, he had one of the worst group of receivers in Panthers history, with Thielen being the only one that could get open and catch the ball.  They might have been worse than the group that Newton had to deal with in 2017.  This will be the the first year in Young's history with the team that the group of receivers he throws to hasn't gone thru major upheaval.  Assuming no injuries.  Because of that, I expect improvement to continue.  Whether it will be enough improvement remains to be seen. Fans here say he can't throw it deep.  But we have seen him do it.  He doesn't have the best deep throw, but he certainly can throw it deep when he has time and an open receiver.  The deep ball to Legette against Atlanta was a beautiful deep ball.  You have to have receivers that can get open and catch the ball to throw it deep.
