The bear was shot and killed by a airport maintenance worker while blocking the take off of a plane at the Airport.

So they didnt mind that it could harm people but once it blocked a plane they shot it. Nice logic there.

I really think wildlife officials really didn't care about the bear, say that they would "wait it out"" for the bear to go back to it's habitat. I also think they could have at least used a less lethal weapon to take down the bear.

Reading the article they ws saying it was being aggressive and a tranq wouldnt have worked in time. Also it was a airport working that killed it.

I think they still could have done something before it came to this.

They should have it was stupid to let it run around the city. Tranq it and put it back in the woods where it belongs. Sure most of the time they run away but why take the chance.

Wow, shoot a bear cause you can't wait for it to walk off. We see them at least a couple times a month up here. During the late summer/fall it gets worse because tourists don't know how to act in the woods. Greensboro isn't helping itself climb out of my least liked city in NC.

Killing a Bear = bad

Kiling a Snake = Ok

Don't see the difference myself. Well, except that snakes are slightly less dangerous than Bears, and keep rats and mice population down.
