Carlisle outcoached Spoelstra

Being out-coached doesn't mean he needs to be fired. For the most part, one coach will out coach another in the Finals. But that doesn't mean the losing coach should be fired. I don't think he's a bad coach, hell he was one of 2 coaches left in the finals. He deserves some blame, but the players also deserve so blame. Carlisle is a better coach than coach Spo, so I am not too surprised he was out-coached. He is young, extremely prepared, and should have a bright future ahead of him. Maybe he might not be the right match and may not have the best qualities when it comes to coaching LeBron. But he shouldn't be fired because he was out-coached.

Heat fan here...

I think Spo is a great coach, but he was definitely out dueled on the sidelines in THIS series. Yeah, it's the one that counted the most, but I still think he's a damn good coach. A lot of people forget about Carlisle with Detroit and Indiana... He just has more experience. Not an excuse though. I'm not one for excuses ever.

With that said... I think he'll get another year. I really dont like his persona and most ways about him. Have you seen his reaction to a bad call? It's laughable at best... Both hands in pocket, he storms the floor repeatedly yelling " that's not right, that's just not right" not a whole lot of animation. Hell, I laugh at him and I'm a damn heat fan!

To address Pat Riley coming back down... I'd personally love to see it. I didn't like it the first time he did it in 06... I thought it was a Bush League move... But the man will have these Superstars in mothafuggin check and fast! No way they even come close to losing this series with Pat on the sidelines! No FUGGIN way!

Plus, Wade said numerous times that he never wants Riley to come back to the bench... Why? Because he knows Riley is a no BS coach... There won't be any fun... And he'll work their bones off. I'm actually surprised that Riley didn't yoke LeBron up during a timeout in this series. You'd have to think it would have woke Jim the fug up...

Time will tell with this team. I had the highest of expectations and still do... It's a Lil harder to believe in them after seeing them implode in these finals. But Ive never been a bandwagon guy... The good that comes outta this is that the bandwagoners are gone... And I hope they stay that way... All they do is talk talk talk... The first sign if trouble and they're out. Good FUGGIN riddance byitches!

Go Heat... Btw, I'm being stationed at that Air Firce Base in August... Eglin AFB to be exact. Really looking forward to them being there. I hope they go back this year.

Because there has to be a reason for Lebron's failures.

.

They both failed

I was simply bringing light to one part of a TEAM'S problems

I personally dislike James, but he did not single single handedly lose the Heat this series, nor did Spo, or any individual for that matter...It's a TEAM sport

    • They can get film of all the games? Every team? Wow! Who knew… Our games with them are big examples of why they are in  the CB market so hard.   It is the study they do getting ready for the games.  Preparing to play against is a little different than just analyzing film in scout mode. Deeper dive. Then you are analyzing post game too.  This goes to why players often change teams but stay in the division. The opponents know each other on a higher level.  Plus if you lost to us, you used to get fired. Now you have to trade your first round pick. Moving up on the world.
    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
