Overrated/Underrated Players

Carolina Panthers

Overrated: TE Jeremy Shockey. Is he better than what they had? Yes. But he isn't close to being as good as his reputation.

Underrated: OLB James Anderson. He doesn't get the attention that Jon Beason gets, nor is he in that class, but he's a good football player.

Yeah the list looks pretty decent overall. Even though I would think CJ would be more underrated

Idk if CJ is underrated. There's been plenty of news about him, and to me it seems like he's gotten plenty of attention lately.

Well definitely before this season I would say he was a good bit underrated

JA is even underrated on the huddle, people didnt even think he should start last year. Some buffoon was even sure that E Brown would make a better LB than JA and some today would suggest starting Connor over him.

need to keep him as a SAM.

anderson+beason+(healthy) davis = dominant LB corps

throw connor there in the middle when running the 3-4 and it gets even better.

Same can be said for CJ (I don't agree, but if you emphasize YEAR as well as ONE, then I can't argue that sentiment)

sure, the contract year had something to do with it, but bigger thing was that fox would never have given him a chance to show what he can do unless he had been forced to put anderson in that situation by diggs getting released.

Gamble is one of the most underrated players on the Panthers roster, maybe even in the NFL.
