I hope this is good, especially with The Killing and Game of Thrones done Sunday. I just worry about TNT putting out a solid non-cheesy show. Then again, it's about the only thing going to be on TV for me till Breaking Bad starts in a month, and Weeds.

I've been slowly getting more and more excited for this show, but I'm keeping my expectations low (I've been burned too many times by sci-fi shows that either suck or that I get invested in only to have them cancled).

It looks good, but just like you said I've been burned by shows getting cancelled too.

Well, in regards to cancellation, at least it's on cable, where expected ratings aren't close to as high as network TV. At least on cable you usually get at least a full season.

That is true, TNT gave Dark Blue two seasons. It's hard the get cancelled on TNT after one season.

This show was better than I thought it would be. I didn't have huge expectations though but I liked it. It has potential for sure.

yeah it was done pretty well, there are a bit too many stereotypes in character and situations but the writing was really good and they managed to generate some scary moments.

I enjoyed it, but it's nothing super special. It's as much about post-apocalypse than it is about the aliens. It all depends on where they take the story... and how many hot chicks they can squeeze in...

Yeah the scene where his son (the scout) was in the river bank and then all the "mechs" start marching toward him was a pretty awesome.
