Ya umm chill with the insults. I've been drinking and I'm in a banning kinda mood.

he ignored me anyway, plus that is a sandler quote. We all need to lighten up. your point is received but I'm just playing around.

quote the post and that info is deftly hidden in white characters;)

A lot of people have been hard on Richardson through this whole lockout, making him look like a divider, not a uniter...

Go Jerry.

I don't remember anyone saying JR wasn't a good businessman and buisness leader or uniter, so what? What about the fans and players? He has not united them. I don't know why everyone is so clung on JRs nuts, he has A LOT of promises to fulfill, why rate him just yet? If we rated him based on everything now it wouldn't be real good for obvious reasons so maybe we should give him fair judgment and wait and see what happens and make an educated assessment instead of a homerish one.

granted, the piece is basically propaganda, but i think the sentiment was genuine. this will be a huge part of richardson's legacy.

Propaganda indeed.

But that's all we really hear from both sides. I've scarcely heard any statements on camera or read official statements in print that didn't smack of grandstanding and selective half-truths from either side.

I'm not ready to believe that Richardson is some benevolent grandfather figure shepherding owners and players alike into a glorious new era of NFL labor relations with his heart-of-gold and homespun, matter-of-fact style of communicating.

I also have a hard time swallowing the argument that says that his experience as a player (2 years in a pre-Super Bowl era 3 generations ago) is in any way relevant to the modern game and player experience.

What I do believe is that Jerry Richardson is a business man. That doesn't necessarily mean that he doesn't care about employees or that he's some evil, decrepit Palpatine type shooting lightning from his fingers at obstinate underlings.

But I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that his primary motivation is getting his pound of flesh.
