and you could only choose one player (currently on the market), who would it be? I myself would take Cromartie (CB/San Diego). He worked with Rivera, could come in and be an immediate impact, he won't drain the bank as bad as some other CB's, and he would sure up that big hole on defense.

Thoughts?

So resigning our four highest priority free agents and getting a decent run stuffing DT isn't a splash....meh could have fooled me....fwiw though I do expect to end up with either Joseph, Cromartie or Eric Wright....

I'm talking about as where we stand now. I do agree we did quite a bit today as far as getting our core group of guys resigned. I'm just constantly thinking about the hole we have at the CB position.

Dude, Cromartie left the Chargers on bad terms after whiffing on a tackle in the playoffs against the Jets. Do you really think RR want that guy?

      I’m guessing Canales will want to try and establish the run early. Atlanta knows that if they stop our run game, Bryce and these WRs aren’t going to win the game on their own so they’ll be keying on the run and likely have the personnel and scheme to be successful. The run game won’t work early. Atlanta will get out to a 10-0 or 10-3 lead.  Canales will then go back to the pass game with Bryce dropping back 3/4 of all plays. In that scenario we lose the turnover battle. -2 is my guess.  Past is prologue with this team.  Atlanta will get their run game going and can just as easily beat us through the air if not. Sorry, but Carolina is not competent enough to beat a good Falcons team.  We trail throughout the entire game.   Atlanta    10   7   7   3   27 Carolina   3   6   7   3   19

      Yeah, I don't think it would. Might want to review the tape on the past two preseasons with him. The game I saw there was a massive gulf between him and Kyle Allen. Hence why he got cut.
