“We are not trading Jay Cutler — period.”

There has been speculation that Cutler could be traded to the Vikings, the Browns, the Buccaneers, the Jets — basically any team with a need at quarterback. But new Broncos coach Josh McDaniels spoke out Tuesday afternoon and attempted to squash any and all existing speculation.

“Let me be as clear as I can about this,” McDaniels said when reached at his office Tuesday afternoon. “We are not trading Jay Cutler — period.”

Good, save us the dumb ass temptation...

Cutler would be terrible here.

Big arm- no leadership intangibles and just a slob.

case in point= one of the highest passer ratings this season, but LOST HIS TEAM how many games?

He passed for a lot of yards, but wins matter.

Sorry.

Unless it's Jake Delhomme, then people dont care about wins, only what they can use to attack(verbally, of course) him with.

Jake is the George Bush of the Carolina Panthers, if something goes wrong, people blame him, reguardless if it's his fault or not.

The real quote should be this,

"Now that Matt Cassell is off the market, we are NOT trading Jay Cutler - Period."

The whole deal was that McDaniels, who was the coodinator for Cassell during his great year last year, wanted his Quarterback, not one he doesn't know. They were in a three way trade to get Cassell, but NOW that Cassell is gone, "Cutler is, and always has been, our guy."

Enjoy your pissed off Quarterback.

That whole situation is very reminiscent of this whole Peppers ordeal. But in the opposite perspective. Peppers wants to go to a sucessful team, but if none pull the trigger on him, and he ends up coming back to us for another year, it's gunna be "Carolina is my home and I love this team" basically.

Enjoy your pissed off fans and Franchise.

    • Yeah it is nice seeing some improvement on the defensive side and the young guys.   I don’t want to think about the future much if Bryce doesn’t heal and we are kept in this limbo via an incomplete test. It is depressing  I don’t have quite as dim a view of the 24 draft class as you do   I have modest hopes for XL compared to none. I like CSW.  Am a little cooler on Sanders but at the same time realized this week that Morgan getting that future 2nd for moving down turned into Scourton. I think. Jackson is a real value in exchange for the guy we took with the 7th. I don’t expect anything from Brooks but Wallace seems to have improved enough to not bust. And Coker is in with them, but is giving us nothing this year. So far, and it is almost half over     I hope Andy still has enough to make watching the offense less of a claustrophobic experience. And there is a small chance we upset the Bills but just playing them tough and making it a fun game to watch will be enough.
    • Bryce haters gunna hate.  Can't change that. Bryce has been pretty durable all things considered.  A couple minor injuries considering how much he was hammered year 1.  And he still takes hits.  Dude is tough. The play in question is a football play, poo happens.  That's ultimately what happened.  Guys running around, trying to stop Young and stuff happened.  Sucks but that's how it goes. For me, I'd rather see Young play.  He will either prove that he's the Dude, a JAG (leaning heavily right now), or an outright bust (some of you were there on draft night, lol)
    • I think we need to let the 2025 class develop. Remember at one point early during last season the 2024 class was gonna be a killer. And we had all kinds of people chirping about how the 2021 Draft was the greatest of all time. Early returns are promising. Let's hope it continues.
