jimmy did show a little something for you guys last season. Im not a diehard fan of your organization, but all successful NFL QB's have sucked their first year, and by year two or three, they explode. Jimmy had the same thing at Notre Dame, look at his year two to year three stats, mindblowing.

All I am saying is, dont rule out pickles (as you call him) just yet....

This dude = :jc:

When do you guys see Clausen being cut?

I don't. I believe Clausen could be developed into a great backup, easier than making Cam into a good starter. I think he becomes a Chris Weinke type guy, or he isn't resigned when his contract is expired.

Weinke was such a bad backup they started the whole wildcat thing.....

You're telling the starving child stealing food from the fat kid he is being rude.

Driven to a point, no one cares anymore about being classy.

not quite the same thing, but whatever.

i agree with the 2nd part and it's unfortunate. i don't have to just shrug my shoulders and go "oh well. it is what it is." though. we aren't better off than we were in that regard.

Do you think the coaching staff has the patience in him to develop him as a back-up and the confidence in him to be able to count on him as the #2?

That may have been true years ago but not in today's NFL......

If you made a list of all the young promising QBs..almost all looked pretty good as rookies. granted they all had lots to improve on and got better but al shined in aspects as rookies. Rodgers is the only recent example (last 5 years) sitting working out. There are many more examples of young QBs showing there potential out of the gate in comparison.

I'm sure players know that in a "fan base" there will always be those that are rude and clueless. If it bothers them then they are in the wrong profession. As a fan it is very embarrassing to hear those boo birds but what do ya do? At least we're not as bad as Eagles fans. Don't think we've booed Santa Claus yet.

This is totally arbitrary, no reason to believe the next five years will be anything like the last.

If Cam sucks this year (throwing, we all know he can run), I'm not going to write him off. Vince Young is a perfect example of someone that took 3-4 years before he actually learned the playbook and started producing.

So, let me get this right. It seems alot (not everyone) is saying if Cam doesn't do good passing then they aren't gonna throw him under the bus, while being quick to throw Clausen under the bus.

I'm confused.

Basically: Haters gonna hate, and slobberknockers gonna slob 'til the can find a bigger phallus to slob on.
