I am all for giving Captain an opportunity to start now that i have sat down and really thought about the situation. Considering where he started from being a 7th round pick he has worked his butt off and played well all the way up to this point. I would at least like to see how he has progressed and plays in the pre season before giving up on him to be a starter.

Guess we'll address it with some other teams castoff if we need one. I guess as long as our backfield can intercept pickles passes they are ok..

Captain certainly doesn't suffer from lack of will, intensity, and want-to. Unfortunately he will be a huge miss match vs those big WR's like Plaxico and Fitz if he somehow gets put on them.

I always root for him being from SC and all.

Yep. Love that kid. He puts his whole heart into his performance but like has been said, he really cannot be expected to cover these taller receivers.

I wish that he could because his fire is what the Carolina Panthers are all about.

In this new defense, I suspect we'll be smart enough to move guys around - so in the case of a WR like Plax we will assign Gamble to follow him.
