Captain Hurt?

Ugh.

The CB situation is already bad. Might be an injury away from being awful.

Better hope for a dominant pass rush this year.

If Captain is hurt, then we may seriously need to make a move. And by move, I don't mean claim people off of waivers, I mean make a serious move.

I'm not as worried as CB as everyone else. It truly as injury away from being scary bad but it can't be any worse then where we are at DT and our entire offense last year.

I don't know....

if you are weak a DT is can be a slow bleed as teams run it through your core.

if you are weak at CB the bleeding can occur much quicker......

If you are a team that struggles to score....I'd rather have a weakness that encourages teams to run on me.

Our CB situation is far and away the worst position on the field. Trust me, after spending time at Training Camp, and watching them just get destroyed by Jimmy and Cam, I can say that they are well below average.

Maybe getting Chris Gamble back onto the field will help, but who's going to start opposite (if Captain is hurt) of him? RJ Stanford?

McClain has been better then Stanford for a long time. Not sure what we really have in Hogan.

As far as I know Munnerlyn and Gamble aint played much of any training camp, so yea we will look bad obviously.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
