Gettis getting hurt was unexpected as I think he was going to be the 3rd option in our offense behind the TE's.

?? Really?? The are part of the problem. They never seem to try and get open most of the time. The only players I've seen this preseason try to get open is Shocky and Olsen. Other then that our WRs ain't done crap yet. Everyone excepting Smith to come right in and make all the other WRs much better instantly ain't going to happen. Smith might help. But until our WRs learn to get open for the QB then we are screwed. But the Qbs are the other half of the problem aswell. So there is enough blame to go around for both groups.:banghead:

Because Gettis wasn't on IR when all that cash was being thrown around. And everyone knows he was being looked at as the number 2. But with the moves they made at TE and picking up Nannee, I say meh to this thread.

agreed. We have lots of talent. Gettis was a player most were excited about. Lafell should step up....something will work out.

Well considering the Dolphins #1 CB was lining up on the likes of Lafell and Nans I didn't expect them to blow by their coverage. You take what the other team gives you. If our WR's are covered throw to the TE's and RB's until they make adjustments. Just imagine if we didn't have TE's to throw at....

Legedu looked decent last year, but he had one of the top QB's in the league throwing to him. Until we get the QB and Oline issues fixed, we won't know for certain what we have at receiver.

No. Smith, Gettis, Naanee, LaFell really isn't that bad of WR set.

It's easy to say that now when Gettis is out but before he got injured we were pretty solid. WR was not our problem last year.
