Meh... Irene ain't much but some noise and rain. Our power was on until 6am today.

Not much to report, no damage just small limbs and leaves everywhere. Slept like a log last night... still blowing/raining and my 11 year old just went out into the street for fun. Wind almost knocked him down... pretty funny.

No idea how the beaches faired... probably a lot of erosion but not much else.

Just rode around campus and there's just some limbs here and there on the ground. We didn't have power until about 12 or so.

I'm all for taking things like this seriously but this one looked pretty weak all along. Unless you lived right on the beach or in a very low area there wasn't too much to worry about. I said I would post some pics but nobody wants to see leaves strewn about my yard... cause that's the extent of it.

The other thing that kills me is the media coverage... they're straining to find any little thing to report. Downed trees, people in the wind tripping, you name it... it's more than silly.

I wanna see some football tonight, if they pre-empt the game with more of this silly coverage I'll be pissed.
