As much as I embarrassed to say it, I overrated Chris Weinke. I really thought he could be something special when we drafted him, and I also thought he was gonna do better coming in replacing Jake when he got hurt.

It seems ludicrous now that we can look back on his disappointing career but a lot of people had misplaced confidence in Weinke.

overrated present: from a salary cap vs production standpoint, it has to be either Lucas or Delhomme....but i'm going to go with Landon Johnson, a former starter who was our biggest FA signing last year, and you had two memorable plays last year: the saints ST forced fumble, and when he got "JACKED UP!" by Beason in the AZ playoff loss.:eek:

i can see someone thinking that.

harris is talked up a lot here because of the things we are able to see (big hits, leadership, ff) but the things that make him stand out are very difficult for the casual fan to observe.

there's no stat for "not blowing coverage."

Weinke was a "measurables only" guy which is usually a death knell for QBs.

LOTS of QBS are "overrated" because of that...not just him.

People will hate me BIG TIME but I'm gonna say Morgan.
