what happens when too many people come to your wedding?

So we are getting married next weekend and we paid for 75 people. Well it looks like now somewhere around 115 will be there. Almost everyone we invited is coming. The place has $250 deposit and will keep it if we go over but is that all or do they try to collect more? Because i am tapped out.

Wrap up an empty box with pretty paper and a hole cut in the top with a note on the front that says something like "give us some of your money so we can pay for your food" in a nice way. You'll want to put this box (or boxes) somewhere where there will be a lot of traffic.

Lol...i mean i dont have a problem paying it later. There is just no way i will have it before this weekend. Should i tell the venue or just go with it as is for now?

What happened to RSVP? Is that old fashioned? How did you only pay for 75 people when you didn't know how many were coming? Not hating. Just confused.

Not very many people rsvped. But when we started going through the list i started marking off the names of people who told me they were coming. When i was done i counted over 100 people. We guessed 75 way back when we made the list. A lot of people we just assumed would not come but there are only about 5 invitations that have responded no and i am pretty sure everyone else is coming. I never expected a 95% turnout.

Seriously, though, with our baby shower hardly anyone RSVP'd and tons of people showed up. It's a common theme with these types of gatherings. Nobody thinks it's important to RSVP and they can all fug off.
