Depends on how possessive the person is.

And how desperate.

Well, from my experience, this is pretty common. I guess it dates back to the idea that you're "courting" someone, it's with the express interest in an eventual marriage.

Obviously, this is archaic in this day and age, but we still seem to hold on to that implied exclusivity for some reason.

If he didn't actually say anything negative about it, he may just have been kind of bummed it wasn't him who was going out with her, as opposed to him wishing to hoard her all for himself. Obviously without listening in on the conversation, knowing the details of it or the people involved, it's hard to say... but I personally wouldn't immediately assume that disappointment that a girl you've gone on a date with is going on a date with someone else means that person is crazy.

Ehh, he probably is hoping for exclusivity though... just see where he goes with it imo.

oh, and enjoy your date this weekend!

This is true, but the same can be said for women, though. This has happened to me on a few occasions, especially when I was younger. It seems to be a common strategy among passive/aggressive types.

this is to be expected though.. or should I say, not uncommon..

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
