Fox Era should have made you stronger not weaker

Yep! But don't ask me to make a monetary bet on it! LOL

Can we win? Yes

Are we gonna win? Up to the players and coaches to execute properly

I know if I'm a player not named Steve Smith on the team then my level of play goes up in the week because I let the rookie down that was so ashamed of letting me down!

This game is winnable despite not satisfying the wine and cheese fan base by signing a few players that are washed up but was once seen on ESPN Sports Center! Cam, Smith, Gamble, and the Rookie DT's having an outstanding game for THEIR EXPERIENCE LEVEL ought to be a sign that Rivera and Company is not as dumb as we think! Fugging Trust them for god sakes. They have a lot to study and learn also, but I'm extremely impressed and amped. I haven't done as much gloating since 2003 that I have done in the last 2 days.

I agree to a point. But the ONLY thing that will fix the mindset of some of us is to see some wins. Yeah, a lot of us here are still a little jaded by the Fox regime, but that is a good excuse. We're used to trying NOT to lose. We hate losing at this point. We're a lot more forgiving so far this season, given the circumstances. You won't see the flat out crying over every loss, but you will see complaining. If you win some games and have a game where you lose by a TD or two, you won't hear as much, because then people have some perspective.

You take the good with the bad as a sports fan, but you have to have some good in order to do that.

    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
