We should of beat the Superbowl champs.

If Cam had 3 ints every game and we lost, you'd be happy?

I'm not talking about his performance, you won't hear me say anything bad about it, but to hear others say it was excellent is just funny.

He's ahead of where every single person thought he would be, even the biggest Cam fans around, but to rosy up every performance of his serves no purpose.

He put up a lot of yards, but also missed some plays and turned it over a lot.

It was not "excellent"

That's all.

Being that it was his 2nd NFL start, against the Super Bowl champs... I'd say it was excellent. Obviously he isn't going to throw 3 INT's every week... last week he threw 1. Come on man, it's like you're not even trying anymore.

easily/ end of thread. I have never been so excited about us being 0-2.

Can't wait for Newton to get in the rythm of the NFL.

432 passing and 4 turnovers against the SB champs with a zillion mistake and still in a position to kick their ass? What the heck is this kid going to do when he has a GOOD day?

Exactly. I mean, there are only a handful on here who thought we stood a chance. Most of the people here were conceding a 30 point loss. We gave the defending Super Bowl champs and arguably the best defense in the league FITS all game. Woodson is a future hall of famer, no doubt. We won't see coverage like that all year.

A LOT of positives this game. Cam probably won't see it, he'll just see his picks, but he did a hell of a job. We need the OL to run block. Again, that may have cost us a game. You can only have so many 3rd downs before it gets to you. Once Cam eliminates the little mistakes and the forcing balls to receivers issue (he had a couple today and he had 1 last week) he will be one of the best PLAYERS in this league, never mind at his position.

I just hope Cam doesn't take this real personal, he just made some rookie mistakes and got rattled a few times, but we knew this would happen. I hope a vet in the lockerroom is giving him a good speech right now telling him how he has to face the adversity and bounce back. If the D just plays solid next week and Cam can bounce back, we will rape the Jags next week and get Cam that 1st win he very much needs.

The fact that ur now saying u should have beaten the Packers says a lot. Wasn't this the team that was going to be stumped by the Packers.

One or both of those TD calls get erased could have done it for u guys. I seriously don't know why u guys are getting so many fictious calls when ur in the redzone made a TD

    • No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.
    • It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
