Could Cam make the Pro Bowl this year...

I think u keep mistaking polarizing Cam by mentioning him every second of the day to really liking him and people voting for him.

In case u haven't noticed, Cam is the most despised QB simply because he took a school that wasn't a beloved school to their NC championship this year. There are those who will intentionally vote against Cam simply because of that. Factor in those who don't like the fact that he's talented and those are sick of the media mentioning his name 100 times a day and we won't even have to bring in those who dislike him simply because they don't feel "his kind derserve to be elite QBs" and that will be enough reason for him not to make it.

Ontop of that, Cam wasn't/isn't an "elite media" favorite QB. I can bet dollars to donuts that even if Cam has a season three times better than any of the "preferred" QBs like Sam Bradford, Blaine, or even Andy, and there is any chance to put them ahead of Cam in the votes, those in the elite media will it. Don't kid urself. It's has become painfully obvious that bar for Cam has been set ridiculously high in comparison to the other rookie QBs and even some vets.

Dude, Cam is an "elite media" favorite QB.

Possible? Sure and probably slightly more likely if he continues to perform like he has for the first two weeks than the other rookie QBs. Likely? It's far too early in the season to know whether there's a snowball's chance in hell.

For now I'll settle for can he avoid a serious rookie slump later in the season and can the team as a whole get better around him so he doesn't HAVE to throw for 400 every game to remain competitive.

Cam certainly can be in the Pro Bowl this year if he keeps this up. The "wins factor in" argument is valid because it's winning teams that get media exposure. That's why so many Falcons were in last year, not because the Falcons have such a huge fanbase. Cam is getting tons of exposure even with losing. At the current rate, the only NFC QBs that would probably get in over him is Rogers and Brees. And there are 3 QBs spots for the Pro Bowl.

Needless to say, this is dependent on him continuing his current level of performance.

If he puts up 400 yards passing with at least one passing TD and one rushing TD the rest of the way, it's almost certain.

Sure as hell isn't my main concern though, and hopefully not Cam's.

if he put up 400 yards passing each week, that would put him at over 6400 yards.

yep, almost certain

    • The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)
    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
