Won a game.....but

Well, I guess the going for 2 was based on the possibility of Jacksonville getting a quick field goal, stopping us and getting the ball back. Two fg's could only tie it, not win it. Of course, had we missed, then Jacksonville got a td, we could only tie it with a fg.

I was a bit baffled by it as well, but then I think any circumstance in which it would have made a difference was unlikely.

If they got fg we would be up 1 if go for 2 and miss or 2 if get as we did so moot. Where it helped was if they got td we would have chance to block extra pt. To keep score tied

The reason why people aren't quite impressed with this ugly win, is that it is an ugly win against a sorry team with a rookie QB. If it was an ugly win over the Patriots etc, that would be different.

It remains to be seen if J'ville is sorry. They had sorry QB play in the Jets game. I think Gabbert looked pretty good for a rookie considering he's had very few reps.

We didn't look good but a bad win is gonna be better for the team's mental outlook than a loss with zero mistakes.

On the 2 pt. conversion, I agree with the call. A 5 pt. lead is no better than 4, and a 6 pt. lead forces the Jags to make the extra pt. to win.

I wonder if arizona and greenbay felt the same way?

It was a good win for us, we are not that good of a football team with all the injuries on defense and a rookie qb as well.

the good thing being, for a change we are getting better week by week instead of worse
