CJ and Hardy are BEASTING this season

CJ now has a sack in 10 straight games and Hardy has 2 sacks and a forced fumble as well.

It's incredible the difference in quality between the defensive ends and the defensive tackles. We might have the best defensive end tandem going right now in the league, might have the worst starting defensive tackles.

This is a false statement and you should feel bad. An argument can be made that they're not and they're *probably* not, but they're certainly close as of Week 3 this season.

If not for those two guys, our defense would be terrible. Because of Johnson and Hardy, the Panthers haven't had to blitz as much since we are getting pressure without it. If only the interior wasn't weak, our run defense wouldn't suck.

Gotta give Mcclain and Neeblet tons of credit. They've been playing good so far this season.

While Fua is a work in progress (A BIG WORK IN PROGRESS) he's slowly but surely getting there as well.

DT wise: I think McClain is playing actually decent for a rookie DT but Fua shouldn't be out there imo

I would have strongly agreed with you during pre-season on your point, but the young DTs have really stepped up during the regular season. They should continue to get better too.

Hardy & Johnson are playing great, but the whole D has really impressed me. If there wasn't coverage by the DBs, those 2 wouldn't have time to get there. Glad to see our D playing well overall. Good part is the whole D should continue to progress too.

Except if you watch interior running plays, they are consistently pushed off the ball. Lucky for us, no one has committed a whole game to running up the middle, but you have to think it is coming sooner or later.

CJ hasn't just gotten sacks. I can't count how many big stops he has had on running plays. Factor in the holding calls and false starts he has forced and it is hard to find a DE in the league that is playing better right now.
