Why did Rivera go for two?

This did put them in the best shape to win. this wasn't done in the 1=2=3 quarter but with 4 mins left on the clock. You are assuming the Jags score and leave enough time for a posession. you play for the block xp

I give up you guys are beating a dead horse we won.:cheers2:

I'm not assuming anything, I built that into my formula. Once again, please read the posts. Not my fault you don't understand basic game theory.

HA I don't understand basic game theory! I have explained 17 times the theory behind why he went for 2. You simply don't get it or think you know more than a Professional football coach. Obi Ron made the correct call based on so called game theory off the when to go for 2 sheet. Don't throw out game theory when that is what he used to make the call.

You are beating your head against a brick wall here. If he doesn't get it by now he never will. Going for 2 is the right call.

This is an irrelevant discussion. Those objecting to this decision have ever played football and it shows. You must go for 2pt because even with 4 mins left if there is a shot out, you have to put yourself in position to tie via putting yourself up by 7 points or tying if they score 2 TD's by scoring another 2-pt conversion should you score another TD.

Football when to go for 2points chart:

it clearly says "GO FOR 2" when leading by 4 points.

NFL when to go for 2points chart:

it clearly says "Decision" and it that position with rainy weather the decision is to GO FOR IT.
